Simple, Secure and Efficient Remote Product Services Delivery

VSI and VSInet logically extends the physical reach of the service provider's network. Utilizing the Internet, VSI creates a secure infrastructure that enables the service provider to manage and monitor only the devices it has under contract.

VSI Service Delivery provides:

  • Proactive device monitoring without the need for a dedicated connection or software agents.
  • The ability to collect and/or poll for native device alerts/messages and deliver them to an associated back-end application or management platform
  • Secure, direct, and controlled on-demand remote access via patented Directed Circuit™ technology
  • Utilization of a single centralized instance of a network management application while maintaining customer segmentation
  • Interoperability with both industry standard or proprietary back-end management applications
  • Additional remote support resources, or distribution partners, direct end-customer support via the VSIportal feature

Service delivery is achieved using the core components of VSI which consist of the VSIadministrator, VSImanager, and VSIgateway. Optionally, a VSIportal can also be utilized to further extend services reach. Virtual Service Infrastructure software runs on industry standard Intel™ based servers provided either by ILS Technology or your selected vendor. VSIgateway remote software can runs on either a ILS Technology provided appliance or user supplied Intel™ based hardware.

For customers utilizing VSInet, the only deployment requirements is the VSIgateway and VSIportal.

Unlike VPN's, dial-up lines, leased lines, and agent based systems, VSI and VSInet delivers an on-demand service infrastructure wrapped with a cost effective security model that eliminates complex network customization and management overhead for both the Service Provider and the enterprise.

A combined use of VSI by a Service Provider and its end customer achieves a level of managed services where both parties benefit from a reduced cost of ownership and improved SLA that only a pure end-to-end IP-based support infrastructure can provide. Further, all parties can meet their requirements for security and accountability of communications between untrusted parties.
