The deviceWISE Workbench enables rapid development and point and click management of all deviceWISE products. Through the workbench, users are able to define IT and device connections, as well as the "triggers" that link them together.

The deviceWISE Workbench presents a common user interface across all products. The Workbench is able to reduce the time to implement applications on different deviceWISE platforms by eliminating training on new products. Whether you are using deviceWISE Enterprise Edition, or the Mitsubishi MESInterfaceIT module, the Workbench experience is the same.

Device Configuration

The Workbench simplifies device configuration by normalizing the parameters required to define a new connection. Device definitions can range from a single parameter (like an IP address), to many parameters (for controlling a camera or RFID reader). By presenting a normalized interface for managing devices, it is easier than ever to integrate many different device types into an application with minimal setup time.

Enterprise Configuration

The Workbench also allows for rapid configuration of connections to enterprise servers like databases and message queues. The Workbench focuses on easy configuration, and providing default values for most parameters allowing users to rapidly get their application up and running. While default values are provided for most parameters, it is also possible to override most values to allow for advanced functionality to be enabled when needed.

We recognize that in a manufacturing environment, there are commonly many parties involved in implementing today's solutions. To meet the demands of customers, deviceWISE has an advanced security subsystem that enables granular control over what actions a user can perform through the Workbench.
