secureWISE: Software as a Service
eCentre offers a complete menu of features that may be configured by the eCentre administrator. Some of the features require specific equipment drivers and port settings to be installed or configured in the network environment to be active.
Authentication
User ID and password authentication via the eCentre LDAP. eCentre also supports other standard forms of authentication (e.g. SecurID and RADIUS)
Permits the eCentre administrator to select the level and type of authentication, while still providing strong authentication capability which prevents users from accessing restricted data, files or equipment, thereby controlling access to machines containing intellectual property.
Authorization
Supports rules or role based policies that permit or deny users the right to perform specific eCentre operations.
Permits the eCentre administrator to quickly assign user privileges to account owners that emulate factory IT security policies based on rules or roles.
Audit log reporting
Provides logging of all session users' activity. Audit trails are configured to track date and time of all users for all transactions.
Permits the eCentre administrator or specific users to document user actions to fulfill IT security policies or comply with SOX and other government reporting / accounting regulations.
On-line Collaborative Chat
Enables community communication using text-chat software.
Intuitive IM use for multiple parties without the risk of being exposed to IM viruses associated with commercial IM applications.
Business Rules
Gives non-programmers the ability to design and then implement business rules for a specific eCentre environment.
Permits the eCentre administrator to define specific business rules to emulate IT policies or business practices, without having to involve factory programming resources.
Remote Tool Operation (RTO)
Provides the remote user with access to a factory's equipment computer system(s).
Permits real time access to machines while running in production enabling remote users to see equipment issues as they occur on the production floor.
Interactive File Transfers
Supports downloading and uploading of files from a factory machine's computer to the eCentre staging area and then to the remote user. Users may only access files that the eCentre administrator has pre-approved. Uploading of files may also require authorization of the administrator if desired.
Permits the remote user a method to safely upload and download specific factory approved files. This function limits access to files that may have embedded IP data within them. The staging area eliminates direct access to a machine's hard drive, while also providing the means to virus check each file transferred to or from a machine.
Automated File Transfer
This function automates the collection of log files and facilitates the field installation of an equipment suppliers' software (service packs, upgrades, etc.) for a given factory. In addition to scheduling file transfers at the factory site, event parameters can also be automatically collected at multiple sites.
Permits critical monitoring files and event parameters to be automatically transferred to support centers, increasing support efficiency and productivity.
Multi-site File Transfer
Multiple eCentre servers can be scheduled at multiple sites to upload or download files. The scheduled transfers can be triggered based on time or equipment event(s).
Permits a user to set up a plan to collect data at multiple sites based on specific equipment events or time. This function enables support centers to automatically track critical subsystem components that could lead to early equipment failure or process errors.
Remote Application Access
Allows the user to send a specific command line to a factory machine and display the response generated from the command line without the need to request control from a machine operator.
Permits support or engineering teams to initiate specific machine commands used for maintenance or engineering analytic functions. The eCentre administrator is able to limit what commands are issued to the machine and who is allowed to access the commands thus maintaining a factory's IT security policies.
Automated Data Collection
Provides movement of data from factory machines to the equipment suppliers' support or engineering center. Data is filtered according to the factory's rules and optionally stored in a relational database.
Permits data to be collected for long term analysis of equipment performance, without involving field service or factory resources.
HTTP Proxy
Allows controlled access to the factory machine's HTTP server port providing access to additional data and files that many equipment suppliers use for troubleshooting and performance analysis off site.
Permits remote users secure access to an HTTP server at the tool. The eCentre administrator controls access to the HTTP server by defining URL groups within eCentre and assigning access privileges to users and specific machines.
HTTP Reverse Proxy
When configured by the eCentre Administrator, eCentre enables an HTTP call from within the factory to an HTTP server located at the equipment supplier's site.
Permits HTTP calls to be made remotely by a support or engineering team to facilitate analysis of important subsystem performance parametrics, verify reliability data, or generate periodic status reports. The Reverse HTTP function can be defined by the factory security team to control the outbound traffic flow on a URL/machine basis to ensure that all data transmissions are authorized.
OEM Connector
The OEM Connector provides connectivity, in a secured environment, between an equipment supplier's intranet and their field engineer located at the factory site, behind the manufacturers firewall.
Permits the local field service team to access their company intranet and the associated software applications that their company provides them access to. These applications may include e-mail services, service logging applications, trouble shooting databases, data analysis programs, inventory management systems or documentation vaults.
Equipment Operating Systems
eCentre's collaborative client and tool side components are known to be compatible with Windows, Unix, Linux, and Solaris operating systems.
Permits factories the flexibility of using multiple operating systems on the production floor.
