MQTT NanoBroker
The ILS Technology NanoBroker is a ultra-lightweight broker for the MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport www.mqtt.org) protocol. NanoBroker is available for multiple platforms and has been designed to be scaled from small embedded devices such as PLCs, RFID readers, IPCs, etc, up to enterprise servers such as AIX, Linux, and Windows systems.
The NanoBroker offers several advantages over other commercially available brokers.
Small Memory Footprint
NanoBroker has been optimized to run in as little as 1MB of RAM allowing it to be deployed on very lean platforms.
Enhanced Performance
Internal testing has achieved a performance boosts ranging from 15-1400 times competitive brokers.
Enhanced Management Topics
Additional topics are supported to allow for publishing messages when clients subscribe/unsubscribe from channels, this allows for optimized performance as publishers can use this information to avoid publishing on topics where no clients are listening.
No JVM Needed
NanoBroker is not based on JAVA technology, and requires no JVM overhead to run, enhancing the runtime performance, and reducing the file requirements to deploy on embedded targets.
