Driving Productivity Through Connectivity

Corporate leaders committed to improving productivity need better tools for accessing data from all of their operations, and for streamlining technology transfer between users. ILS Technology is providing the tools needed to achieve these goals in new markets. Our two technology platforms expand universal connectivity from the plant to the enterprise and enable secure, real-time collaboration that allows greater information sharing between remote locations. Moreover, the combination of these two platforms will offer even greater reach and flexibility for corporate leaders to access data.

The growing acceptance of our platforms was recently highlighted by deviceWISE’s compatibility with the Oracle Manufacturing Operations Center. This further underscores the importance of improving factory-floor-to-enterprise connectivity. Linking production equipment to business applications increases visibility, and enhances management of operations and enables more reliable event processing.

Moreover, ILS Technology has joined IBM and Mitsubishi to make deviceWISE part of a comprehensive service-oriented architecture (SOA) solution specifically designed for the automotive manufacturing industry. It’s another example of our company’s continuing commitment to drive broader adoption of our platforms through strategic partnerships with industry leaders. Our partnership with Softing AG will expand our ability to offer OPC-UA compatibility solutions as the adoption of this important connectivity standard accelerates this year. Our new deviseWISE Enterprise Edition improves the ability to gather information from all parts of an organization by enabling connectivity to production from the enterprise without disrupting productivity.

Fueled by strong growth in installations over the past year—led by increasing acceptance in Asia Pacific—our secureWISE remote access solution is now installed in more than 65 semiconductor facilities including seven of the top 10 semiconductor manufacturing facilities around the world. This widespread adoption can be attributed to our work to ensure that remote access is secure and standards compliant.

The real-time collaboration we provide to chipmakers is so compelling that we unleashed its power for all industries last year. Additionally, we are seeing secureWISE adoption extend into new uses including: predictive and preventive maintenance; chip design for manufacturability; equipment pre-qualification by fabs to OEMs; collaborative equipment matching between OEMs and fabs; sharing manufacturing execution systems and/or advanced process-control information between OEMs and fabs; supply-chain management; and OEM monitoring of outsourced manufacturing.
