ILS Technology supports efforts to develop standards across all industries to greatly facilitate the adoption of new technology.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
Founded in 1901, NIST is a non-regulatory federal agency within the U.S. Commerce Department's Technology Administration. NIST's mission is to develop and promote measurement, standards and technology to enhance productivity, facilitate trade, and improve quality of life. Additional information can be found at www.atp.nist.gov/

ILS Technology has collaborated with NIST, Advanced Micro Devices, and Oceana Sensors through the Advanced Technology Program, an initiative that accelerates the development of innovative technologies for broad national benefit by co-funding R&D partnerships with the private sector. This collaboration has developed a software solution called the Flexible Security Wrapper (FSW). The FSW solution creates a security gate around production equipment based on the context in which it is being used and who is requesting access. This security measure works with ILS Technology’s eCentre® software and ServiceNet™ products.

AFSM International
AFSM International is the only vendor-neutral professional association dedicated to providing the educational programs, networking opportunities, and research that enhance the success of s-business executives, managers, and their companies--and AFSM International will continue to be the acknowledged leader in providing s-business management professional and career development.Additional information can be found at www.afsmi.org

ARC
ARC is the leading provider of market studies evaluating a wide range of technologies for logistics, supply chain, plant systems, automation products, and field devices. Additional information can be found at www.arcweb.com.

ISA
The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society (ISA) is a 33,000-member global, nonprofit, educational organization connecting people and ideas in automation. The Society fosters advancement in the theory, design, manufacture, and use of sensors, instruments, computers, and automation systems for a wide variety of applications. Additional information can be found at www.isa.org

OPC Foundation
The OPC Foundation is dedicated to ensuring interoperability in automation by creating and maintaining open specifications that standardize the communication of acquired process data, alarm and event records, historical data, and batch data to multi-vendor enterprise systems and between production devices. Production devices include sensors, instruments, PLCs, RTUs, DCSs, HMIs, historians, trending subsystems, alarm subsystems, and more as used in the process industry, manufacturing, and in acquiring and transporting oil, gas, and minerals. Additional information can be found at www.opcfoundation.org

ILS Technology has been OPC Foundation corporate member since May 2006.

SEMI
The Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute (SEMI) is a global association serving companies that develop and provide manufacturing technology and materials to the global semiconductor, flat panel display, micro-electromechanical systems, (MEMS) and related microelectronics industries. The SEMI International Standards program has been helping to ensure open markets and lower semiconductor manufacturing costs for over 30 years. SEMI Standards have also facilitated the development of new industries, including the now pervasive foundry manufacturing model. Several hundred volunteers worldwide participate in the program, which is made up of 17 global technical committees. Additional information can be found at wps2a.semi.org/wps/portal
